Frequently Asked Questions for our Barn Wedding Venue

1. May I bring in my own caterer?

Yes, you may bring in your own caterer or we can

recommend some options.

2. What is the capacity of your venue?

225 (including the wedding party)

3. Are you on-site for our event?

Yes. We are on-site for you the entire time.

4. Do we need to purchase event insurance?

No. We do not require it.

5. How much is the down payment?

Our down payment is $1,500. The balance is due in two payments. The next payment is due six months before your special event & the last payment is due two months before your event.

6. Is there a hotel nearby?

Yes. There is a Comfort Inn hotel on the same road as the venue, approximately 10 minutes east in Plainwell. We are just 10 minutes off of 131 HWY, located between Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Saugatuck, MI.

7. Is your venue handicap accessible?

Yes. Our barn, chapel, house with 2 stall bathrooms and paved parking lot, are handicap accessible and all connected together with a sidewalk.

8. Is there an added cost for a ceremony?

No. When you have your reception with us, we do not charge extra for your ceremony at our wedding venue.

9. May we bring in our own DJ or band?

Yes. You may bring in your own DJ or band. If you are interested, our son Brandon Meiste is a DJ. He is a partner with Prestige Weddings. You can reach him at BrandonM@prestigeweddings.com for more information.

10. May I bring in my own alcohol & bartender?

No. I'm sorry. We only use The Liquor Cabinet. Please contact them for their pricing at liquorcabinetevents@gmail.com

11. If there is inclement weather, is it possible to have an indoor ceremony?

Yes. There is room in the barn for 225 for your ceremony. Your guests will sit at their tables. There is an isle from the front of the barn to the back.

12. What time do wedding ceremonies usually take place?

Most ceremonies are between 4 - 5 PM.
